Speaking Engagement: Delivered Keynote at the 10th Cell Manufacturing Kotozukuri Symposium

On March 4, 2026, Epistra Inc. CEO Yosuke Ozawa delivered a keynote speech at the “10th Cell Manufacturing Kotozukuri Symposium,” held at the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine and Engineering Tokyo Branch in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

Symposium Overview

This symposium is an annual event hosted by the Cell Manufacturing Kotozukuri Center at Osaka University. This edition was held under the theme “Information Utilization in Cell Manufacturing,” welcoming 95 participants. The event opened with an address from Mr. Shoki Nishio of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s Bio and Chemical Industries Division, followed by an explanation of the theme’s fundamental concepts by Professor Kinooka, the center director.

Keynote Speech

Our CEO Ozawa spoke about optimizing cell manufacturing processes using AI and robotics. The speech was one of three keynote presentations, and numerous questions were raised from the floor, leading to active discussions.

Other keynote speakers included Professor Ryuji Kato of Nagoya University Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who spoke about information utilization in quality control using image analysis, and Dr. Shinichi Sakurada of AI Biomedical Inc., who presented on next-generation cell manufacturing processes using AI and digital twins.

Growing Data-Driven Approaches in Cell Manufacturing

The symposium featured presentations on diverse information utilization efforts including image analysis, AI optimization, digital twins, and simulation. It was a venue that highlighted the strong interest in data-driven approaches within the cell manufacturing field.
